Inés Lombardi (born in 1958 São Paulo) sets the media photography, video, and sculpture in a permanent, structural relationship to one another and negotiates aspects of perception that are first constituted in the intersection of context, image, and object.
Inés Lombardi has been granted the "Oesterreichischer Kunstpreis 2013" (Austrian Art Prize) for her complete works.
Kunsthalle Krems showed a “Retroprospetive” on Inés Lombardi in 2015 after an exhibition at Georg Kargl Fine Arts, Vienna in 2014. Inés Lombardi's works were furthermore on view at Secession Vienna (2011), New York Universities at 80 WSE gallery, NY (2013), Belvedere, Vienna (2012), Neue Galerie, Graz (2008), Fotomuseum Winterthur (2006), Forum Maison Hermès, Tokyo (2005), The National Museum of Art (2001), Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Vienna/Palais Liechtenstein (1995) and she took part at the 23rd Biennial São Paulo (1996).
